I recently came across a quick tip that has sped up my workflow no end, in fact it’s so simple I was kicking myself for not thinking of doing this when I found out.
Did you know you can infinitely loop your PreComps using the loopOut() expression? You probably did, but here it is anyway:
First, select your PreComp and enable time remapping (either by right clicking or by navigating to the layer menu).
Next alt. click the stopwatch and type the following expression: loopOut()
Just like that, you’ve got yourself a looping PreComp. I find this particularly useful when using texture mattes or when a graphical element doesn’t quite extend the duration of your composition.
Just a simple one but I hope this helped!
